What's Going On At Flood Aid?
Live Music, Food, Bounce Houses, Train, Disney Characters, Auctions, Free Prizes and Much, Much More!!!
Flood Aid 2012 is a community gathering and we want everyone to attend regardless of how much or how little they can contribute. There will be donation boxes at every entrance to the field and we ask each person to give as much as they can. All the proceeds from the evening's festivities will go directly to the non-profit account established to benefit the victims of the recent floods. Anyone who would like more information on the management and distribution of the funds may contact Michael Day at the law firm of Durham, Jones & Pinegar.
Every person in attendance will receive a ticket that can be dropped in a bucket on stage. Several times an hour, we will draw a ticket from the bucket and give away a prize. These prizes include gift certificates for local restaurants, toys, and other fun items! Also, each person entering who donates $5 or more, will receive a wristband that says, "I Am A Santa Clara Hero."
For those seeking even greater treasures, we will be holding both a live auction and a silent auction throughout the evening. We have a real auctioneer coming in for the event and he will ensure that everyone has a great time bidding on lots of wonderful items that have been donated by our generous sponsers. Scroll down to see a complete list of our current auction items (updated daily). Some of the items will be auctioned in the live auction, and others will be auctioned in a silent auction that will be set up on the field. All items will be available for viewing at the event.
There will be lots of yummy eats to enjoy while you are listening to the great music. Pacific Island Grill will be cooking up Kalua Pork and Chicken Teriyaki bowls as well as hot dogs and hamburgers. Coldstone will be providing ice cream and Sweet Tooth Fairy will offer other delicious desserts. Santa Clara 12th Ward is having a bake sale and Fun Time is bringing cotton candy and Kettle corn.
Don't forget to bring the kids! Fun Time Inflatables will be bringing four different bounce houses for your children to play on and will be donating a large percentage of their profits to the victims of the floods. There will be Disney characters and super heroes roaming the grounds to interact with the children attending and facepainting will be offered for a small fee. We will also have a train for little ones to ride.
